IBER-OLEFF – COMPONENTES TECNICOS EM PLASTICO SA (Portugal)
Founded in 1993, IBER-OLEFF has its headquarters in Pombal (Portugal) and employs approximately 800 workers in its 4 manufacturing plants: 3 in Portugal and 1 in Sao Paulo (Brazil). With a consolidated annual turnover of 50 million euro, IBER-OLEFF is dedicated to the design, engineering and production of kinematic systems and components for the automotive and electronic industries. Since its foundation, innovating and introducing differentiated technologies and skills, has been playing an important role on developing and producing high added value components and systems for the automotive sector. IBER-OLEFF´s strategic development gives particular emphasis on agility and flexibility of its layouts and team training, allowing competitive management of small series (niche models) or large series production (vehicles and products of high consumer market models). Our customer profile includes many of the largest international original automotive component manufacturers (OEMs), as well as largest Tier-1 companies, who rely on the integrity of IBER-OLEFF products and services to meet their own exacting standards. With worldwide presence in more than 20 countries, with an expanded presence in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, IBER-OLEFF has an export rate above 95% of its total turnover. Role in the project
IBER-OLEFF is mainly involved in the STAR project in WP6 leading the pilot on Human Centered AI for Agile Manufacturing thus leading task T6.5. In WP6 and in context of the pilot, IBER-OLEFF also takes part in task T6.1 preparing its pilot sites based on the STAR platform and pilot systems. IBER-OLEFF is also involved in task T6.6 supporting the techno-economic and socio-economic evaluation of the STAR platform in its pilot demonstrator. IBER-OLEFF is also involved in WP1, task T1.3 supporting the continuous monitoring and assessment of the status and progress of the pilots (and IBER-OLEFF pilot in particular) and additionally in WP2, task T2.1 contributing to the elicitation, collection and analysis of requirements on Human Centered AI for Agile Manufacturing.
