UBITECH is a leading, highly innovative software house, systems integrator and technology provider, established to provide leading edge intelligent technical solutions and consulting services to businesses, organizations and government in order to allow the efficient and effective secure access and communication with various heterogeneous information resources and services, anytime and anywhere. UBITECH enables real-time valid information processing and decision-making, the realization of intelligent business environments, and B2B and B2C transactions by providing high added-value business –oriented and –based solutions. UBITECH has been established in Athens, Greece back in 2005, concentrated initially in the Greek and Balkan market and acquiring several EC and national grants for novel R&D initiatives. Currently, UBITECH has extended its operations with targeted international activities through its subsidiaries, representation offices, business partners and affiliated companies in Limassol (Cyprus), Brussels (Belgium) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), concentrating mainly in the Spanish-speaking countries of Central and Latin America.

Technology and Research innovation constitutes the core objectives of UBITECH. We are continuously seeking and validating new, emerging technologies, developing new ideas, concepts and solutions, and improving existing software applications and products for vertical markets or for addressing specific end-users' needs. UBITECH is participating in STAR through its Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Trusted Computing Groups, which conduct research in most aspects of artificial intelligence, big data and computer and information security. In relation to the project, UBITECH brings internationally visible research expertise in secure machine learning and trusted computing, design and evaluation of advanced classification models and algorithms, Blockchain and on- and off-chain data management and big data analytics. Prior experience of the key participants includes EU funded projects in areas that are closely related not only to the aforementioned research domains but also to the envisioned use cases. The available expertise in secure machine learning, graph machine learning and bipartite graphs, secure system-level software implementations as well as the design of trustworthy distributed systems are expected to be crucial for the successful delivery of the identified project tasks.

Role in the project
In the context of STAR, UBITECH is going to drive the vision of the project towards secure machine learning, by designing advanced classification models capable to withstand a wide range of poisoning and evasion attacks. This will enable the safe adoption of such AI-based techniques in smart manufacturing ecosystems and will allow us to improve their effectiveness in the presence of sophisticated adversaries. Furthermore, UBITECH will heavily contribute to the identification and collection (from the envisioned use cases) of the data required for the development of such AI-based detection components and will help in the feature engineering process towards identifying those properties (both intrinsic and extrinsic) that can enhance the knowledge of the overall classification and intrusion detection process. Additionally, UBITECH, as a technical partner, will join the consortium’s efforts in the overall STAR service platform integration and lab validation.
